JuniorSTAR® is a re-usable pen for the injection of insulin. It can be set for doses from 1 to 300 units in steps of 0.5 unit.
The minimum dose is 1 unit. JuniorSTAR® can only be used with 3mL (300 units) insulin cartridge *U-100) from SAnofi-Aventis Australia pty Ltd or Sanofit-Aventis New Zealand Ltd. The insulin cartridge contains 300 units and can be used for multiple injections until it is empty, or 28 days have passed after first use (removed from fridge).
The plunger will only move to the end of the cartridge when 300 units have been given. JuniorSTAR® has been designed to be used for up to 2 years after first use.
