Description
Calpol Sugar Free Infant Suspension Sachets is an oral medicine for pain relief and fever reduction formulated especially for infants and young children. It contains paracetamol as the active ingredient and is provided as a sugar-free strawberry-flavoured suspension in convenient single-dose sachets.
It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and high temperature (fever) associated with conditions such as:
Teething discomfort
Earache
Sore throat
Colds and flu
Headache
Post-immunisation fever
Other common childhood aches and pains
This product is suitable for infants and children aged 2 months up to 6 years (provided they weigh more than 4 kg and were not born prematurely). It is not suitable for babies under 2 months.

Directions (How to Use)
Who can take this medicine:
Infants from 2 months of age (weighing more than 4 kg and not born prematurely)
Children up to 6 years of age
Do not give to babies under 2 months
How to administer:
Massage the sachet before use to mix the contents.
The contents of the sachet can be given directly from the sachet or measured into an appropriate oral dosing device.
Dosage by age:
2–3 months: 2.5 ml (a second 2.5 ml dose may be given after 4–6 hours if required, but no more than 2 doses in 24 hours).
3–6 months: 2.5 ml up to 4 times in 24 hours.
6–24 months: 5 ml up to 4 times in 24 hours.
2–4 years: 7.5 ml up to 4 times in 24 hours.
4–6 years: 10 ml up to 4 times in 24 hours.
Important instructions:
Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period.
Do not give for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Although most children tolerate paracetamol well at recommended doses, some may experience side effects, including:
Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, swelling, or breathing difficulties
Uncommon reactions such as nausea or stomach discomfort
If any severe reaction occurs, stop use and seek medical advice immediately.
Warnings & Precautions
Do not exceed the recommended dosage; too much paracetamol can cause serious liver damage.
Do not give this medicine to babies under 2 months old.
Do not use this product at the same time as any other containing paracetamol, to avoid overdose.
Before use, consult a doctor or pharmacist if your child has liver or kidney problems, or if you are unsure about the correct dose.
If your child’s symptoms persist or worsen, speak to a healthcare professional.

In case of accidental overdose, seek urgent medical attention, even if your child seems well, as liver damage may occur later.
