* Chew or dissolve 2 tablets (one dose) in your mouth.
*Repeat the dose every 30-60 minutes if needed.
*Do not take more than 16 tablets (8 doses) in 24 hours.

These side effects are harmless and usually go away on their own.
Pepto-Bismol will not usually affect your ability to drive, ride a bike or use machinery.
Do not take if you are:
*Under 16 years, due to a possible link between salicylates and Reyes syndrome ( a very rare but very serious disease)
*Allergic to bismuth subsalicylate, salicylates including aspirin
*Pregnant or breastfeeding
*If you have a stomach ulcer, blood clotting disorders or bloody or black stools
